DAREED at the Transition Cambridge Energy Group

The DAREED platform was demonstrated to the Transition Cambridge Energy Group at their monthly meeting on 3 November 2016.

Transition Cambridge aims to help Cambridge make the transition to ways of life that are more resilient in the face of rising energy prices and a changing climate. Transition Cambridge are an ever-growing group of people who live or work in Cambridge, and who get together to: learn how to live well using less energy; grow more food locally; re-use and recycle stuff so that less is wasted; value and protect green spaces for well-being. Anyone living in Cambridge can join in!

The Energy Group is one sub-group of the main Transition group. It meets monthly and aims to:
•Increase the group's understanding of energy related issues
•Raise public awareness of energy saving/generating opportunities
•Promote renewable energy projects, at a range of scales

The Energy Group members were particularly interested in the DAREED Best practices and Renewable Energy Simulation tools.
