Last 23rd November 2016, DAREED Consortium held the Workshop on ICT Solutions for Smart Cities. Representatives of multiple European entities were invited to take place in a workshop focused on presenting case-studies and involving actively the main stakeholders to co-create energy efficient districts and cities. The Workshop also came to close the software development and testing phase of Dareed Project which will finally conclude in December 2016.
The Workshop had a double purpose: On the one hand it marked the closure of all tha development and testing work in the DAREED platform, showing its main keys, goals and results. On the other hand, it is proved the worth of all the work done on Smart Cities, by organising a meeting with other EU entities to exchange experiences with; foster future cooperation, alliances and new projects; as well as align results with the Strategic Smart Cities Plans for Seville and Andalusia.
José Luis Calvo, CEO of Isotrol (DAREED Project Coordinator), and Juan Padilla, Key Account Manager of Vodafone, opened the Workshop, which was held in the Vodafone Smart Center of Seville.
Antonio Cabello, the Shief of Public Administration Service Section of Directorate General of Telecomunication and Information Society of the Regional Goverment of Andalusia, together with the General Manager for Economy and Trade of the Seville City Council, Esperanza Caro, provided the vision and roadmap strategy for Andalusia and Seville. To conclude the Instuitutional sesion, Pedro Méndez, Intitutional Relations Manager of Endesa introduced the vision of the SmartGirds for the electrical companies and the Endesa contribution to Andalucia and Seville SmartCity Plan.
To conclude the Workshop, Adolfo Borrero, AMETIC Smart Cities Commision President moderate the panel discusion where Antonio Cabello the Shief of Public Administration Service Section of Directorate General of Telecomunication and Information Society of the Regional Goverment of Andalusia, José Franquelo Technology and Innovation Director of Isotrol S.A, Francisco D. Gallego, Managing Director of Regenera and Santiago Cascante, Responsible Innovation Projects of Endesa participate as pannel list.
The Workshop concluded successfully and Isotrol received kind words of gratitude from the attendants, who also had the opportunity to explain their lines of work and to exchange experiences on the topic of Smart Cities.
