DAREED Presented the Data Integration Approach using Linked Data at LDAC2016 Madrid.
The Linked Data in Architecture and Construction (LDAC) Workshop focuses on technical and applied research on the usage of semantic web, linked data and web of data technologies for architecture and construction (design, engineering, construction, operation, etc.). At LDAC Workshop 2016, which was held in Madrid on 21-22 June 2016, KIT presented a data integration approach using linked data developed and implemented in the frame of the EU FP7 project DAREED ( www.dareed.eu) . The linked data development and publication follow the guideline that was developed by the EU funded Coordination and Support Action (CSA) project SWIMing (http://swiming-project.eu/). DAREED is the first EU project that applies the entire guideline.
The workshop also found the synergies across EU projects applying linked data for building lifecycle energy management (BLCEM). The development of linked data in DAREED has been seen as the pilot of linked data in BLCEM. The development of DAREED linked data will be further discussed and disseminated within the Linked Building Data Community Group of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) http://www.w3.org/community/lbd/.
